The Event Center at the Sands in Bethlehem blows this away, even though it is a lot larger. Not to mention the smoking in the casino is disgusting! I am truly so disappointed. That casino is pretty horrible anyway and attracts some pretty shady characters. I paid $80 and that was TOO MUCH! I was told it needs to be movable to accommodate boxing and MMA that will be there. And to think some people paid $250 in the row in front of me.
Parx should be ashamed of putting such awful portable seating in such a lovely brand new, intimate room. The show was great but I doubt I will return to this venue again. Fortunately, it was towards the end and the nice police officers in the back allowed me to stand with them. I finally decided to stand in the back and then was told to go back to my seat. I was so distracted due to the whole row rumbling the entire performance.
No one should have to sit that close to complete strangers! The are all hooked together and if one person moves the entire row shakes. The seats are HORRIBLE! They are super small and closer than the even worst airline seats. I went to see Pat Benatar last night and was so sadly disappointed in this venue. I was so looking forward to having a new event center with big name acts so close to home (Doylestown).
